John Dowland: 400 Years

In this lunchtime concert marking 400 years since his death, musicians from the Historical Performance faculties at the RCM and Bremen Hochschule perform music from his Lachrimae collection as well as lute songs.
Perfectly complementing Dowland’s instrumental works are selected instruments from one of the finest sets of English viols in existence, the RCM Museum’s renowned Kessler collection, dating from the late 16th to early 18th centuries.
